Have you ever attended a WMU Annual Meeting?

If you are involved in an active WMU program in your local church (whether you go to WMU, Adults/Women on Mission, or participate in any missions education classes--like attending or teaching Youth on Mission, Missions Journey: Kids, Children in Action, RAs, GAs, etc.), YOU ARE INVITED!

The annual meeting is a time to get a yearly report on WMU events around the state, to hear about missionaries supported by your prayer and fundraising efforts, and to vote on state officers for the upcoming year.

The Indiana WMU Annual Meeting will take place this August 17th, right at the end of the Missions Lifeline event. Our event this year will focus on the theme "Let the Nations Be Glad," and it will be at Calvary Baptist Church in Greenwood, on Saturday, August 17th, from 10am-2pm. We'd love for you to take a look at the plan for this date, at the link provided, here: Missions Lifeline. Signup is $5 for adults, free for kids under 18!  The WMU Annual Meeting will only last around 30 minutes, and it will take place right at the close of this event (from 2pm-2:30pm).

Additionally, this year's meeting will have a vote on proposed amendments to the state WMU guidelines. These needed to be amended to account for some changes and eliminations in SCBI staff positions which affect WMU leadership structures. These changes have actually affected our state WMU leadership for over a year now, so the proposed amendments need to be made ASAP in order to help your state WMU leadership and officers function more appropriately. The following link will take you to a draft of the guideline amendments. Our current WMU state leadership team would love for you to take a look at these PRIOR to the annual meeting, so you are apprised of the proposed changes and are ready to vote on them: Guidelines (for Review).

If you have any questions about the guidelines' amendment proposals, you can email us at indianawmu@scbi.org.

Thanks so much for being a part!
